Branded Pins @ SFMOMA

Enamel pins developed for the SFMOMA Museum Store, adhering to updated brand identity palette..

Objectives

The key objectives of the project were to create a series of enamel pins that reflected the latest version of SFMOMA’s brand identity. The pins needed to highlight key colors from the updated brand palette, which would then be translated into physical products. Additionally, I was responsible for communicating with the enamel pin vendor to ensure that the product met specific criteria related to color, size, and material constraints.

Key Tasks

• Brand Palette Analysis: The first step was to carefully analyze SFMOMA’s brand identity palette to ensure that the pins would align with the museum's visual aesthetic.

• Iteration on Design Elements: I worked on iterating various color combinations, product dimensions, and material choices to select the most marketable and visually cohesive option for the pins.

• Mockups for Vendor Communication: I created detailed mockups in Adobe Illustrator, which included exact color codes, dimensions, and material specifications. These mockups served as a reference for the external vendor to ensure that the pins were produced exactly to the museum's specifications.

• Packaging and Pin Placement:  Presentation of product to SFMOMA’s visitors through packaging layout. These designs helped visualize how the pins would be displayed in the museum store.
